Roald Dahl Quiz
Roald Dahl was not only a wonderful writer, but in his vibrant literature he also played with words and created over hundreds of new ones! Here are a few of our favourites: Biffsquiggled (adjective): If you feel biffsquiggled, you are confused or puzzled. Churgle (verb): When you churgle, you gurgle with laughter. Darksome (adjective): Dark and murky. Exunckly (adverb): If you say “exunckly” to someone, you are agreeing with what they have just said. Frumpet (noun): If you call someone a frumpet (not that you would), you mean that they are old and unattractive. Grinksludging (adjective): A grinksludging dream is one that is no fun at all. Razztwizzler (noun): Something wonderfully exciting or enjoyable. Whiffsy (adjective): Something whiffsy is always moving. Zozimus (noun): Zozimus is what dreams are made of. The BFG whisks zozimus with an eggbeater until it forms bubbles just like soapy water.
