The dinosaurs were wiped out some 66 million years ago, but what exactly brought about their end is still under debate. That being said, scientists generally agree on the theory that an asteroid collided with Earth or that volcanic activity wrought havoc on our little planet. Events such as these could have blocked out sunlight and significantly transformed the Earth’s ecology, thus making it impossible for those that survived the original terror to carry on living.
