Interesting fact:

Only now do we have sufficient data to even begin filling in the Drake equation. Given the huge numbers, it seems that the galaxy should be teeming with life, and theoretically, there should be at least one super-advanced galactic civilisation. So where is everybody? This question is called the “Fermi paradox”.
