You may know London Bridge from popular nursery rhymes, but make no mistake about where it currently resides: Arizona. Yes, the extremely famous London Bridge operates in the small city of Lake Havasu, having been put up for auction in the 1960s and procured by the Arizona city. As the story goes, the man who bought the bridge thought he was bidding on Tower Bridge—the MUCH fancier draw-bridge that remains a massive tourist draw in London today. He subsequently denied this massive blunder. He shouldn’t feel too bad though as many mistake the two bridges for one another.
