Da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa” is probably the most famous painting in the world. Her mysterious smile has caused people to fall in love with the portrait and leave poems, flowers and love letters as tokens of affection. The Louvre even has an extra mailbox for all the billets-doux to the Mona Lisa.
